This acrostic poem was written by Hazel Glynne to encapsulate the memories of Julie from the Harrow Group of Friends.

                                                        Just Julie

Just simply, our remarkable friend - a vital part of our little band with your quizzical smile
Universally loved by family, friends and colleagues - your serenity balancing (office) chaos
Lynchpin of your family - a constant - supporting, listening, reassuring. Thrilled by your grandchildren, proud of your children, fulcrum of the Shaws
Interested in everyone. Modest but unaware of your considerable talents and undoubted intelligence - the model of the working Mum, so efficient and yet so supportive - never looking for the limelight but exuding that rare aura of calm
Everyone drawn to your gentle demeanour - never threatening always encouraging

Selfless and kind but positive and fun - giggling at daft jokes - joining in the office gossip!
Hearing your infectious laugh - your good humour enlivened many a meal out - a permanent twinkle behind your eyes suggesting some surprising thoughts perhaps?
A true friend to us all collectively and individually Warm and welcoming without fail. You never aged, always the same with your shock of dark hair - how did you do it?
We miss you Julie - you’ll always be one of us - remembered forever.
